Easy-made filter change with snap ring
Münstermann's de-dusting units are characterised by their quality and well thought-out detailed solutions. For this reason, a number of visitors to the Münstermann Stand at the Powtech 2007 were filled with enthusiasm that a filter tube could be changed so simply and cleanly. For one thing the design of the de-dusting unit makes it possible for the exchange of the tubes to be carried out exclusively on the outgoing air side of the filter and therefore on the clean side. For another reason a so-called snap ring is used to secure the filter tubes. This enables the tubes to be changed without using a tool to undo screws or clamps.
The principle of the snap ring design is that the assembly ports for the filter tubes and supporting baskets are produced very exactly and with low tolerances. For uses where the filter tubes are put under mechanical load (e.g. pneumatic applications, suction plants etc.) a special type of filter with a double-snap ring is available.
